Today Lorna walked around the golf course pushing her husband's electric golf trolley. The accelerator control is faulty, it kept getting away from her, she thinks she might need driving lessons!

One of the 'Darlings' went to the coast yesterday with her mum. They had the beach to themselves apart from one dog walker. She ventured in for a paddle but it was soooo blustery and the water was soooo cold she came home and started looking for winter sun holidays! 🤣

'I’ve been busy this weekend on the allotment trying to get ready for planting this year. Having rotavated half and covered with weed suppressant, Paul had made a compost bin from pallets which will give me / us good compost in 18 months time meanwhile I will be buying a mix of top soil compost mix for two of the four beds. I borrowed a book called 'Veg in One Bed', from Karen L, I’ve since bought one from the Chatsworth shop. As you can see I’ve not lost my appetite for growing!' 😂

Anna has emailed this photo, she says... 'In spring I did a one day session run by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust at Peak Village to graft different species of apple trees and these are the three I did. Left to Right, Egremont Russet, Duke of Devonshire and Beeley Pippin. They were just twigs when I brought them home but are now taller than me. (Plants each side are two varieties of fig.)' Mary says: 'Yesterday we went to see a Pentrich Revolution Art Exhibition. Pentrich being a local village to my home town. I was struck most of all by the quilt made by Ilkeston Sewers who got together digitly, initially, to make protective garments for the NHS. When they could they got together face to face and made this quilt illustrating the COVID period of our history.' Thank you Mary. Arriving around midday to a road closed sign we parked around the corner and walked into Friezland village looking for a coffee and the loo! The the band competition started at 4pm. We walked along the canal to Greenfield. 140 bands in five villages, we watched two of them. The bands go from village to village in coaches. They are marked on movement and sound by two judges. Friezland & Greenfield we’re the two villages we stayed at during the day on Saddleworth Moor. The atmosphere was great. We saw my friends son playing in Durham University Band and spent time with his family before starting our journey home at 9.30pm. We loved the music from the bands.
